Floatplane Training

The initial floatplane endorsement introduces you to the joys and challenges of flying from water in one of the most popular seaplanes in the world the DHC-2 Beaver. The training is conducted right in the heart of Sydney Harbour.

The course covers:

Daily Maintenance
Water Handling
Docking
Mooring
Slow Speed Taxiing
High Speed Taxiing
Airwork
Circuits
Confined Area Operations
Low Level Manoeuvring
In-flight Emergencies

That training includes course notes, pre-flight briefings, and 7 hours of flight time. Additional flight time will be charged for on an hourly rate. Training is conducted over two or three days.
